1) Motion-Sense Mode (default at power-on): when a pet or person moves within a 120° arc and up to 1.2 m (about 4 ft) in front of the fountain, it automatically dispenses water.
2) Timed Mode: runs for 30 seconds every 20 minutes to keep water fresh.
3) Hybrid Mode: provides a continuous flow for 1 hour, then automatically switches to Motion-Sense to save power.
